Should i get an Ipad? Sensible answers only please. 10 points for the advice?

Should i get one, pros and cons, and if you have one already could you give me your own Review Of The Ipad. Wifi only version please, i don’t intend on getting the 3G one. Thanks alot, 10 points.

My wife has an iPad, and I use a laptop. The iPad only does about 20 percent of what I use the laptop for, but that twenty percent runs LIGHTNING fast. The pictures are clear, the apps load smoothly, and I haven’t crashed an app or the OS yet. The WiFi is 802.11N, which runs three times faster than my 802.11G router. You may have to upgrade from a G router to an N router, but if you stream video, you WILL see a difference. We watched three movies from the Netflix app without a single stutter, stall or skip, unlike what I endure with my laptop.

My two kids (ages 3 and 7) have really taken to it. My three year old is playing MahJongg like a pro and deleting my wife’s calendar appointments and e-mails. I say that because it is so intuitive that a three-year-old can pick it up easily. In fact, I can’t get her to use a mouse and keyboard any more, even when running MahJongg on my laptop.

It has terrible storage options, it cannot run Flash-based web pages, it doesn’t multi-task, it’s relatively expensive, it’s the first version of new technology so I’m sure the second-generation iPad will make us wish we hadn’t bought this one, and I hate the Apple corporation’s business model (“if we didn’t put that feature in it, then you, the consumer clearly didn’t need it”). You won’t be able to change out the battery without a pry tool and an anti-static mat. You pay extra for the camera. It’s not compatible with Microsoft Office documents without a third-party work-around. Also, I hate Apple. OTHERWISE, it’s a hell of a piece of hardware, and if you’re not picky like I am, you’ll probably be glad you got it.
